Pinal Lodge 30 Airport Breakfast Spotlighted on PinalCentral’s “The Backstory”

Pinal Lodge No. 30 was recently featured by PinalCentral local news during the January 2026 fly-in breakfast at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport. It highlighted the Lodge’s ongoing commitment to community service and charitable giving.

The segment, hosted by Jody Newell on The Backstory, captured the spirit of the monthly event. It’s a volunteer-driven breakfast that brings together families, aviation enthusiasts, local artists, and community partners.

Serving Breakfast, Serving the Community

Chris Garner shared during the interview that Pinal Lodge No. 30 operates as a nonprofit 501(c)(8) organization. All proceeds from the breakfast are donation-based and made possible entirely by volunteers. No members are compensated for their time, and many contribute their own resources to ensure the event’s success.

Funds raised support local charitable efforts, including:

  • Veterans in Need Project – Offers micro-grants to support veterans facing financial hardships.
  • The Armer Foundation – Dedicated to easing the financial burdens of families with children battling extreme medical conditions across Phoenix, Arizona.

Community Partners Join the Fly-In

The January breakfast also featured participation from the Casa Grande Art Association and the Casa Grande Arts & Culture Commission.

Activities included raffle baskets as part of an annual fundraiser and complimentary face painting for children, creating a family-friendly atmosphere that extended beyond aviation.

The Airport Manager noted that the breakfast provides a unique opportunity for residents to engage with the airport in a welcoming setting. The event draws both aviation enthusiasts and first-time visitors, helping connect the community with local resources in a relaxed environment.

Newell remarked that this gathering was one of the largest turnouts she had seen at one of the Lodge’s breakfasts, a testament to growing community support.

Pinal Lodge No. 30 extends sincere appreciation to its volunteers, partners, and attendees who continue to make the monthly breakfast a meaningful opportunity to serve others.

The Lodge looks forward to welcoming the community again at its next end-of-the-month breakfast at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport.
